The Beginning
Vineyard Wine Cellars was born out of a passion for wine and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Gary and Bonnie Daniels founded Vineyard Wine Cellars in 2002 and the story of these industry pioneers can be found here.
One of our first projects was a wine store in Frisco, Texas with a bottle capacity of just over 20,000! Not ones to turn down a challenge, Gary and Bonnie jumped at the opportunity and called in family members to support the installation.
For the first 5 years, the business was run out of a spare bedroom in the Daniels home north of Dallas, Texas. They towed materials to their various jobsites on the back of their Jeep. When they outgrew their home office, they moved into a larger space to house their office and warehouse in Addison, Texas.
2016
The Daniels’ children, Andy Daniels and Sarah Palmer, joined the company to continue what their parents started over 13 years earlier. Andy and Sarah run the business in ways that honor their parents’ entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to their clients as well as the VWC team.
2018
Vineyard Wine Cellars proudly opened their new design center and offices in North Texas. The space offers the ability for homeowners, designers, architects, and builders to see samples of a glass-enclosed climate-controlled wine wall, wine racking, materials, and finish options.
2019
We expanded our love of wine to our own backyard by planting a vineyard. Loose Grape Vineyard surrounds our design center with over 600 Tempranillo vines. Our first harvest was in 2020 and we are looking forward to enjoying the fruits of our labor for years to come.
Today
Over the years VWC has grown to include residential and commercial projects nationwide in addition to launching several new wine rack and wine wall product lines available exclusively through our website. We have successfully completed over 3,000 custom projects and expanded our team to representatives in Austin, Dallas, and Houston as well as Atlanta and Southern CA. Kessick Wine Storage. A family-owned and operated business that consistently develops new and on-trend racking systems that can be seamlessly integrated or stand on their own. We share more than a decade of collaboration on projects large and small.
Vintage View. We have completed hundreds of wine cellars in partnership with Vintage View. Our companies were born around the same time, and we were early adopters of their label-forward design and use of metal which was uncommon in wine cellars at the time.
Millesime. We have enjoyed a long and celebrated partnership with our friends in the north, Millesime. They consistently exceed our expectations when it comes to quality and customer service. The beauty, versatility, and functionality of their wine-racking systems make Millesime a popular choice among our clients. Millesime has been part of hundreds of wine cellar collaborations with us over the years.
Wine Guardian. There aren’t many companies older than ours in the wine storage industry, but Wine Guardian is one of them! Another family business, Wine Guardian, has been there for us and our clients since the beginning, manufacturing state-of-the-art wine refrigeration systems. We’re proud to be one of a handful of their 10+ year partners.
The Future
As we look to the future our goal is to continue what Gary and Bonnie started 20 years ago. Our focus is on providing our clients with the best wine storage solutions, from quality wine racking, refrigeration, and design to superior customer experience. Cheers to 20 more years!
