The ConceptĀ

Designing and building a custom wine display can add both functionality and beauty to any home. For a Dallas, Texas couple, their vision was to update their home with a glass-enclosed wine wall. The result is a stunning showpiece that is a room divider between their entryway, family room, and formal dining room.Ā

This wine wall project involved a renovation of an existing space and removal of a load bearing wall shown below. It required reinforcing the ceiling with a long steel beam to support the upper floor.Ā

The DesignĀ

The project began with the homeownerā€™s vision, and we were able to provide a design to meet all of their needs. The homeowners chose wine display racking from our Signature Collection to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality. With a bottle capacity of more than 250 bottles, the rack configuration was carefully considered, with label-forward single-deep on the main wine wall and double-deep on the two end walls. The racking included a mix of parallel rods and floating racks, which created visual interest and allowed for ease of access.Ā

The FeaturesĀ

The wine racking finishes selected were black anodized aluminum posts and bottle rods with clear acrylic brackets. To add a unique touch to the design, the homeowners incorporated one-of-a-kind acrylic display shelves and acrylic stemware holders. The display shelves were perfectly positioned to open the line of sight to the family room from the home entry. These features added to the sophistication of the wine wall and provided an opportunity to display the collection in a personalized way.Ā Ā

The wine wall is enclosed on 3 sides with Ā½ā€ frameless tempered glass with black ladder pulls. This was a perfect choice to allow the wine collection to be viewed from all angles without any distractions.Ā Ā

A cooling system was an essential part of the project to maintain the perfect temperature and humidity level for the wine. A CellarPro split system was selected to ensure that the wine was kept at optimal storage conditions.Ā

In the end, the Dallas couple's wine wall was not just a storage space, but a beautiful addition to their home that added value and a wow factor. With careful planning and attention to detail, a custom wine display can become a stunning focal point that enhances any space.Ā
