The Concept
This beautiful wine wall is a wine connoisseurs dream come true. Our clients were looking to utilize a portion of their home, for climate-controlled wine storage, for their prized wine collection. The space was designed to seamlessly integrate into the traditional style of their home.
The Design
With a bottle capacity of just over 700 bottles, the wine room features a variety of storage methods including cork-forward and label-forward wine racks, angled display rows, and bulk bins for overflow. The variety of wine racks utilized offer options for 750ml bottles as well as large format bottles to meet the client's needs.
The FeaturesÂ
The rich, solid alder wood wine racks are finished with a clear satin that provides warmth and a soft glow. We added a soffit clad in matching wood material, above the wine room, that allows for access to the refrigeration system. This fully ducted system ensures that there was no visible mechanical equipment to distract from the aesthetic. Insulation and vapor barrier were added behind the walls and ceiling of the space to ensure optimal temperature and humidity levels are maintained and to prevent condensation and mold from developing.
The warm LED lighting above the angled display row highlights the owners’ favorite wines in their collection. The floor to ceiling frameless glass wall and door provide an unobstructed view of this stunning wine cellar. Black door hinges and a ladder style pull match black hardware accents found throughout the house.
