As Vineyard Wine Cellars’ Resident Sommelier and Wine Advisor, Eric Hammer brings Certified Sommelier expertise and a hospitality-driven perspective to clients seeking knowledgeable, personalized wine guidance.
Experience Shaped by Hospitality
Eric’s background spans restaurant leadership, luxury resort beverage programs, wine education, curated tastings, and beverage program development.
He earned a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Penn State University and has held leadership roles in respected restaurant, resort, and hotel environments. His experience includes Rare Bar and Grill, B.R. Guest Hospitality, Blue Water Grill, Atlantic Grill, David Burke’s Primehouse, Strip House, Boca Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, and The Ben, an Autograph Collection Hotel.
At Boca Resort & Club, Eric became a Certified Sommelier and served in beverage leadership roles, including Director of Beverage. His work included developing wine and beverage programs, and the resort’s curated wine list later received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
